Club History

Our club was originally started by the Gumdale Women's Friendship Club at the The Gumdale Progress Hall. When numbers started to wane, Eric Wendel, was asked to come and teach square dancing. By mutual consent he took over the club and called it the Gumdale Greandslidersin 1989. Due to Eric's poor health Alan Evans took over the Club and a committee was formed in 1992.
Gumdale Grandsliders relocated to the Alexandra Hills Community Hall in 2002 and is now an Incorporated Club.
